Begin with meaning

Read the query as if you were the customer. Are they looking for a provider, comparing choices or learning how something works? Match the page to that need.

Treat numbers as estimates

Volume and competition help compare ideas, but they are not promises of visits or bookings. A blank metric is missing information. LocalRank keeps it visible as unknown instead of converting it to zero.

Check the geography

The current provider reports use United States and English settings. A query containing a city name is still different from measuring exactly what a person in that neighborhood sees.
